Michael Keaton was an American actor, producer, and director, best known as the star of Birdman. He is a versatile actor who can play both comedic as well as dramatic characters. He also has played a few romantic characters and appeared in several action thrillers during his professional career. He was attracted to acting and performing when he was in his teens and tried his hand at stand-up comedy as a young man. While his stand-up comedy venture was not successful but it laid the groundwork for his future acting career. In order to succeed as a comedian, he got a job working as a cameraman for the local cable TV station. It was at this station was the first time he realized that he truly wanted to appear in front of cameras. When he was offered a part in a television show, he appeared in numerous shows on Mister Rogers Neighborhood. He was an naturally talented actor who soon gained a lot of attention in the world of television. His comedic characters made him famous and he began a career as a filmmaker with big dreams. Additional recognition was received by his portrayal of Batman's famous character in Tim Burton's Batman. In time he grew up acting as an actor and started producing and directing films. For his role in Birdman (2014) He won numerous awards and nominations.
